Hi
I was given advice from an FF instructor recently on the best tracking position & it was much diff to what i had read about / been taught before (& what is also on the knowledge articles here).
he said to bring knees slightly fwd in bent position & slightly apart (say if perched on edge of chair if upright), prob about 45 deg angle, & relax arms & place not at the sides, but further back (& they can be bent) - behind you if you were standing up. as before chin tucked in against chest. apparently this recreates the wing lift effect better.
i have seen this on FF tracking videos but never in base.
wondered if anyone uses this position, disagrees with it, or has other positions which are preferred. obv I wld like to practice & perfect the one which gets me furthest before starting base.

The above description sounds like atmonauti to me. Did the FF coach also advise you to bend at the waist? Atmonauti is designed to increase freefall time as your body is simulating a wing therefore your downwards speed is translated into more forwards speed and thus lift (not actually lift but a decrease in fall rate vs an increase in forward movement)
