November 2nd, 2009 Does anyone have any thoughts regarding the color selection of whatever base canopy it is that you plan to jump? I've seen quite a few out there with subdued colors that look like they will blend into the night sky pretty well, but I've also seem some with some pretty wild color schemes. What types of things do you think someone should take into consideration when it comes to the color of their equipment?

November 3rd, 2009 Colors don't really matter at night, with the exception of white which will reflect the light, everything blends in on the ground at night. If you are in the air, nothing will blend in really, they all stand out. I haven't noticed much of a difference between an all black canopy or one chock full 'O cartoon colors.
I would go with Mick on the center cell and maybe alternating colors on the 2 and 6, just to aid in packing. And yea, I know a "real" BASE jumper doesn't need differently colored cells or lines or packing tabs, but when packing in less than optimal conditions, a quick easy visual reference never hurts. =;>
