Got a hold of some archive footage from 2002. Jumper doubted to cutaway after opening and aborted half way. Cutaway cable slips out on one side during flight and all hell breaks loose. Luckily reserve and main didn't get entangled and the jumper was able to get rid of the main just in time. I felt a bit obliged to post this video here to show people they should take their time to assess the situation and make a clear decision at their decision altitude.Cutaway or don't cutaway. There is no in between! This ain't a video for the faint hearted. I was disallowed to use the actual sounds so I put on a nice song :).All ya'll enjoy and go easy on the comments :)Ps; jumper didn't have a scratch. More... by Skydiving Movies |
