How to get started?

I am having a lot of problems trying to learn to basejump. I am only 15 and not old enough to skydive yet (need to be 18) I am an acomplished climber, white water kayaker, mountainbiker, and snowboarder. I am just starting to experiment with roped bridge jumps and such. Where do I start?

Hey Cooper,
Yeah you are going to find it difficult in finding somebody to teach you to base jump.
I am writing you this because when I was your age I did alot of crazy ##### and broke alot of bones!! HAHA. So be careful and dont take this sport to lightly.
Even though you are still to young to skydive go to the drop zone and make meet people in the sport. That is all you can really do.
And what are you doing with the roped bridge jump, is that from the fox show ?

Some drop zones will let you skydive at 16 with your parent's permission.

IN addition to hanging at drop zones, find base jumpers to hang with -- and for who you can ground crew.

Be an apprentice. Learn how to pack, learn all the gear, learn everything while you're waiting for the opportunity to jump. That way you'll progress faster when you do start.

You might ask for base jumpers in your area to contact you. They probably will; everybody likes to have good ground crew and your other risk experience makes you likely to be a heads-up and therefore welcome addition to most any jump.
