Hello.

I heared that standard toggles not are very good for beginners.
I'm consider to buy special toggles.
Unfortunatly nobody makes a combination of "big grabb" and "line realese" toggles.
I thinking that you more often need "big grabb" and less often "line release".
But to sure:

How big are chances of "line over" malfunction on slider jumps using indirect slider control ("first stow").

I guess it would depend on who your asking.
from my experiences, a line over could happen on any given slider up jump.
What would "big grabb" toggles do for you when that line over does happen?

Thats the point. I would prefer toggles with "big grabb" and "line over" but there is no to sale (or is there somewhere?).
So have I to chose.
What decide would you go?

so yeah, you have to decide if you want something that could "potentially" safe your life.............. OR NOT!
and..........practice, practice, practice your emegency procedures! it's not gonna do you any good to have the cutaway toggles and not know how to use them!

I bought "anti-line-over" toggles and got them modified (by my rigger, whom I showed an original pair of "big grab" toggles to) in "big grab" (still keeping the capability of releasing control line whenever needed) :7

The same material/procedure as per the "big grab" design. The "D" part of the "anti-line-over" toggles is originally "soft" and made by one single (layer of) yellow webbing: he simply added (in the inside part) another yellow webbing incorporating (between the two layers of webbing) some yellow lolon cable acting as stiffener, and he sewed a "channel" onto these two layer to keep the stiffening cable in position. Just exactly how a "big grab" toggles is made. After the process, my "anti-line-over+big grab" toggles shows a "rigid" D part.
In the modification from "anti-line-over" to "anti-line-over+big grab" my rigger had to deal with the "anti-line-over" device, and someway somehow he did to manage to "re-do" part of the device due to the extra webbing and to the extra-channel, no so trivial to do but he managed to do it perfectly ;-)
To be honest, the "anti-line-over" toggle is slightly "big grab" in the sense that, due to the "anti-line-over" device, the D part presents itself slightly open. I preferred to go on with such a modification and have it REALLY open :D
