Great picture...
I havea comment about it as I feel many jumpers can benefit.
Notice the BASEBALL pich this person is about use on his pilot chute?
Well you will also notice how he is rotated his body position.
You do not need to through your PC to get proper results.
Just toss the PC with you elbo. This will not through you body position off, and ensure more consistant openings.

actually, the freefall went another couple of seconds with the pc in the wind-shadow behind the shoulder and more exposed extremities on the left side to correct that rotation as the airspeed built. with the big one-step exit off the right foot to clear the underhung bit at the top, it seems to work best. there was even time for a quick peek under the left arm at the limestone rushing by before the toss!
The body position in this photo has nothing to do with the "toss". It is due to exit technique.
What if you are jumping BOC or wingsuits? You DO NEED TO throw it then.
"Flicking" or tossing from the elbow is O'K for p/c in hand.
It is true that if you do try to throw the p/c too hard, it could adversely affect your body position.
Bored and got too much bandwidth ? Here's another one...a leap from exit #6 at Kjerag.
http://zelda.spray.se/~lukas/tracker.mov ~2.1 Mb Quicktime.
Really, really bored and sitting on a fat internet connection, try these as well,
http://zelda.spray.se/~lukas/pingst.mov ~5 Mb (trailer to the following...)
http://zelda.spray.se/~lukas/kjerag-the-movie.mov ... a whopping ~36 Mb 6 minute movie of our roadtrip to the Kjerag helicopter boogie, complete with music etc.
I recommend you save them locally rather than trying to stream them over the internet.
Enjoy,
/Lukas

Quicktime I believe!
You'll need Quicktime 4 from Apple.

Very easy to install onto Windows machine, should already be there on most Macs and your're out of luck if you are using Unix...but I'm working on that.
Hey your clock says 05:48 AM, you are up early ! Been jumping ?
