thanks Dave.... that was real cute. i'll have you know that the Gravity Girls (Brenda Oldfield, Donna Reid, Denise Williams, Caren Bearinger and Bonnie Dutile) are the reigning Overall National Champions for l999 in the IPBC standings (until Bridge Day this year).....Ms. Anne Helliwell of Basic Research is currently sitting in 5th place (i think) OVERALL in the IPBC standings for the year 2000.....Ms. Lisa Barton (with only something like 80 BASE jumps)is in 7th or 8th place OVERALL for the year 2000.....need i go on??????
Blue skies.....brenda
Your team won because of the scores of your ringers,
Slim and Swa (both guys), so.......need I go on?
But you are right about Anne and Lisa, they rock!
Who the f*!& is Dave Johnson? Are you afraid of female BASE jumpers? If you weren't you'd sign your real name. You're a piece of work. I suspect your inability to respect female jumpers is a result of repeated rejection from them. Or maybe you're afraid your real identity will reveal a crappy male BASE jumper that can't measure up to the women. Put your money where your mouth is. And beware of the female BASE jumpers at Bridge Day. You're gonna be surprised..... Stay tuned.
dave - you're very correct in that we probably wouldn't have been the champions without Swa and Slim - who jumped with the girls in Moab. I am forever in their debt, but the fact remains, WE - THE "GIRLS" had to do our part....we wouldn't have got there on the basis of just one meet. We didn't "smoke" anyone; but we had good, respectable scores and that carried us thru. remember the rabbit and the hare? sometimes puttering along to the finish line beats racing there.
what are you so angry and resentful about? why don't you try coming down off of your high horse a bit. i thought we were all in this together. i love my BASE brothers (and sisters). i appreciate their advice, support and friendship. this is truly a unique and wonderful assortment of people.....why do you need to constantly put everyone down?
have a good day dave....whoever you are.
Dave, come on! I know Anne rocks, I would listen to anything she has to teach, or offer about BASE. It's not about gender, females are what we need more of in this sport, they tend to keep their ego's in check. Men(some) seem to have to prove something to each other. Females rule the world anyway, Dave you must kow this. Have fun my friends, C YA Mark Wilson
I'd jump with Brenda or Anne's knickers anyday of the week.
LOL! i coulda swore you already did! are you taking good care of them by the way? :-) looking SO forward to seeing you again- REAL soon!
oh Wow! i almost missed it.....you got your Drag-Queen BASE #1! CONGRATULATIONS! now that deserves some celebration! we'll have a big one at Bridge Day!
there are two female jumpers from the uk that i know of
one now lives full time in the usa and well the other used her sexuality to get a man to take her jumping before she was ready, she then messed up and injured herself but did not learn a thing she does not even get it that everyone who jumps who knows her will go no where near an object with her or tell her the location or access points to them.
I know exactly who you're talking about and I agree with most of what you are saying but you can't put all the blame at the feet of the student. A lot of people are guilty of trying to run before they can walk and the instructor has a responsibility to be honest and say that they aren't ready in order to calm them down a bit. If somebody really wants to jump badly enough and nobody will teach them or tell them why, there's a risk that eventually they'll just go it alone and end up bouncing.
Regarding this thread...the people in the know are aware of who I am and the fact that I used to see aforementioned female jumper...they know how I feel about the whole deal.I would however like to point out to the girl in question and to all concerned...I am not CP....nor am I Dave Johnson...If I want to slag anyone off I am quite happy to sign my name and my number...this stuff is all old news now people.I think everyone involved is tired of the politics and want to get on with their jumping.
I also dont think the public forum is the place to air her dirty washing...or for me to have to air mine for that matter. The whole situation broke up a lot of freindships which may never be repaired so before any body else gets involved lets stop it here.
To all concerned my e mail address is at the top of this,my name is Sean Richards so if you want to get in touch you know where to find me....
