I will be visiting the central valley and northern cali July 16-24. My intention is to jump a popular bridge while I'm there. I understand there is some important etiquette to follow, but if I don't know it, I can't follow it.

well, duh. since you posted the dates youll be there the rangers and sheriff will be able to provide all the information you need on-site. double patrols, the civilian patrol of bored retirees out in force, etc. Nice going...

I live in Northern California, and will be jumping here during your stay (until 6/20, when I depart for a four day stint in Twin Falls).

In 6+ years, they get pretty smart.
