I'm genuinely curious, not trying to stir stuff up, but does anyone else wonder how much longer the B will stay legal? Anything we can do about it?

Which Building are you talking about?
Can you send me an email and let me know. I'd love to find a legal B.

Funny guy Tom, besides my house, I don't think we have any legal buildings. I think he meant bridge.
But for anyone interested, my house is always available. You can pca or static line over the San Lorenzo river. It looks to be about 15-18 feet, (not laser, tape measure) and with the water landing, rigs are optional.
Martian Bob has been eyeing this tall redwood, but he wants me to do this buddy assist climbing thing....
Hey, do you want a dub? I'll have to charge you...

yep, sorry, I meant S. Man I'm friggin tired.
Mince man, are you back onto your monday off schedule? Must be rough. Back to buildings, I know of a clubhouse that can be jumped from the insided with or without rig. And its legal. Hurts bigtime but its legal.
M.B.
in answer to your question; yes we will eventually screw this up. enjoy the bridges status now as much as you can. It is going away for a number of reasons and proofs which i wont bother with but relate primarily to lack of interest in keeping it legal (complacency on its being legal), and the fact that times and local leaders and opinions invariably change. Ill give one example and then leave; understand im completely for the freedom of expression, humour, and live life attitude which will take the bridge from us: Currently, the highway patrol is complaining of the distraction/hazard that base jumping represents to distract drivers across this federal highway and bridge. On the last boogie, attended by base leaders and high-timers people were going from the top rail (which twin falls had asked we not do), a very cool jump. People were also doing nude jumps from the top rail in broad daylight, passing traffic; also very cool in our world, but not in 9-5 bill paying world in which this is illegal (indecent exposure blah blah blah), also the bathroom at the visitor center was notably vandalized that weekend, I jump there frequently enough to never see the bathroom marked up by locals. All this in three days. Snowballs start small and turn into avalanches. Rumours turn into reports which turn into complaints which compiles evidence to appear before new city council members or mayors or police chiefs or newspaper editors which will amass a turn of the tide if any reason appears to direct it so. Like the highway patrols complaint, or a rumor of liability to the city for tolerating the jumps, or the local church goers complaining that nude girls would have been more appropriate than smiley's jumping naked buck...
