My beloved setup was nicked from our car in Amsterdam last weekend. The rig is a Fox 265 w/ Vtec and Multi, Raspberry/Grey/Red color combo. Container is a customer "Soft Cock" in dark green and black, velcro closed, cut for a large 6 foot 1 body with heavy fabric. Pilot chute is a 42 inch, non-vented, Soft Cock model with black ZP. The rig is set up with Big Grab toggles. About 25 jumps on the combined setup, and about 45 jumps total on the canopy itself.

Now, the Dog is really bummed as I am rigless temporarily and I really liked that setup. Plus I went to Europe and didn't get to jump a damned thing - hard to jump with no gear. Grrrrr.

I can't imagine that the junkie thief that stole it will know what the hell to do with it, but if by chance it shows up somewhere in Europe for sale, please lemme know. I'll gladly pay a reward to any BASE jumper that finds it, no questions asked. Heck, maybe there's an underground stolen BASE rig ring operating out of Amsterdam. Who knows!

The good news is that we had so much fu(king fun in Amsterdam over the weekend anyway that it was worth it even with losing my rig. There was a big DJ convention in the city last weekend and the best spinners from around the world were in town to throw down. Unbelievable. My poor body is still recovering - who knew that so many different chemicals could have so many interesting effects. More testing is certainly required, methinks.

All the best to fellow jumpers on this Day of Thanks. We all have so much to be thankful for. . . not the least of which is huckin' and low pullin'

    Peace,

    Yo Ddog,

Hopefully you filed a police report and have contact phone#s for the local precinct unclaimed property office. Don't want to get your hopes up, but sometimes articles that are not conducive to pawning show up as the creep/criminal gets busted for another theft and his loot is confiscated.

I was hit in Barcelona last July, and while I never got my cameras back, an amazing amount of new articles like backpacks, purses, etc. were in the unclaimed property room as theives chuck them after emptying their contents.

At least you were in Amsterdam and able to ease the pain. ;-)

    Steve-

Back in the States for now, but headed overseas the first week of the New Year and looking to jump with some local folks during that week. Weekends will likely be taken up with, ahem, other pursuits.

Interested in jumping in Northern Europe that week? Denmark, Holland, Belgium, and Northern Germany are all on the radar screen. I will only jump if I hook up with locals to as to play by local rules and conserve sites and access from unnecessary heat.

Drop me a line and let's plan a fun week of jumps!

    Peace,

    D-d0g
