Can we all agree that - when it comes to access to National Parks - we are all brothers and sisters and we must band together to fight this fight.

It is time to put egos and self-interests aside and take this monster on as a group... a group that is WHOLE.

Every mistake any BASE jumper ever made, a bust, a death, a site burning, etc., and the negative impact it has had on the sport, they all pale in comparison to the negative effect that Robin Heid will have. His constant diatribe, and continual public vilification of others in the sport can only show those who read and hear them an utter lack of respect or solidarity within this community.
Now that you are working with Robin on the letter campaign, it seems fair that you're in line for some abuse down the road. You'll do something Napolean don't like, and BAM!, you're in for a public discredit.
Look at the recent past, and Robin's pseudo partnerships:
Dennis McGlynn-pseudo partnership to vilification.
IPBC-pseudo partnership to vilification.
Avery Badenhop-pseudo partnership to vilification.
Dann Lee-pseudo partnership to vilification.
Mark Hewitt-pseudo partnership to vilification.
Johnny Utah-pseudo partnership to vilification.
That is just the past couple years, and all have been publicly slandered.
You should see the line up from the past twenty or so years.
Is it just that Robin is ALWAYS right, EVERYONE else always wrong?
And who will it be after you boone, Tom Trancedo?
Careful in your associations.

The archives are full of Robin's tirades, no-one is safe. There are even some criminal elements, remember the "three bullets for Dann Lee" tirade, oh my God, this guy has to go. He's CANCER to BASE, we need a Robinectomy. Here are a few excerpts:

Certainly I didn't pick people who have been assholes and jerks to me specifically or BASE jumping generally, but all these whiny Americans ought to grow up and undestand that the BASE world does NOT revolve around them and the petty politics they insist on imposing on the rest of us.

AND HERE IS HIS ADVICE TO SOMEONE WHO REPRIMANDED HIM

...................encourage him to handle this in a more productive and less public way.





If you read through the archives you can see a pattern of flip-flopping, backstabbing, and general abuse of his peers. One day Johnny was mis-treated, next day he should have been treated worse. Robin is a nut.
