Hi I am about to buy my first base camera but i haven´t decided between the Sony Pc 9 or the Pc 110 can anyone tell me which one is better (base oriented) also the helmet i was thinking of is the Nvertigo X .

I use a bonehead and a PC100,its prone to going out of focus on opening due o the floating focus built into the camera and i think the 110 has the same...not sure about the pc9...ask the dealer which one doesnt have it and bobs your uncle..

I have the pc-110 and I think its the best camera out there. Superb pic quality, focus does blur a little on hard no slider openings, but it clears right up...until I landx(

Can be avoided by using the PC-5.
That goddam blur ruins the shot.
The PC-5 DOES NOT BLUR.

Do you have a wide angle lens? If so what type cause i also don´t know which of these will work better .45 or .42

The 100/110 has better video quality - but they are big cameras.
The pc-9 has better video quality than the PC 1 but not as good as the 100/110.
The PC - 9 is significantly smaller and lighter than the 100/110.
I dont know if the pc-9 has the blur problem of the 100/110.
The .42 lens will vinette (cut the corners) when zoomed all the way out - bummer.
The .45 lens does not cut corners - easier to set and keep it that way.
If you're using the camera mainly for skydiving its a toss up between the .42 and .45.
If its for Base only go for the .45 - they arent that different once the .42 setup is zoomed in a little to eliminate the vinette.

Better yet, buy one for your base buddy so the video is of you.
