How much will a jumper pay for a ride to 2000 feet? Last I heard people were paying around 7.50 for a boat ride @ TF. I would like to find out what is would be worth for to you to jump from 1500 to 2000 ft. This object would be located within a 45 min ride from a MAJOR airport that anyone in the US should be able to get reasonable airfairs to.

Remember no 3.5 hr ride from Salt Lake or increased fairs to Bosie.

Of course this object would be equiped with the latest in electriccution devices, man & women eating wildlife, razor wire, and lazor guided, heat seaking missels to keep all of you off it who dont want to pay, and try to sneak on it after hours. ha ha

    So What ya think?

Why don't you post this as a poll? I'd realistically pay (not trying to low-ball you since this is hypothetical anyway) $15 to $20 for an elevator ride. After all, an antenna costs at least as much to own, operate, and maintain as a super otter. And it's not like there's anywhere else I can go to jump an 'A' all day long legally.

I see this as an easy way for the owner/operator of an existing antenna that is currently functioning as a transmitter to make a tidy profit. However, I don't think building a new grass-roots tower specifically for BASE is practical economically or polically (from a permitting standpoint).

I think I'd pay about the same thing I'd pay for a skydiving ticket (so $15-20).

If no one else does, I'll post this as a poll question.

I can just picture this. 25 years from now, Slim (with 15,000 BASE jumps) is operating a BASE Zone, running around yelling "quickly, quickly", "we don't skydive, we BASE jump", and "have you been out 'plane-hopping' again?"

I'll be there late in the season (arriving around 15 August), but not sure of Kjerag dates, if any.

$1 per 100 feet is very reasonable and I would definitely be willing to pay that for a legal tower jump.

us sconnies never pay for any "a" jumps. I hike them up myself. and sometimes, I will (lazily) go slider down, just so I don't have to climb up higher. of course, before I started smoking ciggies. I could do 1200 feet in 40 minutes. gear to tie off with, and rest with........bulllh1t....kepp climbing.
I rest (and smoke) at the top. I will build my own tower before I pay anyone for an "A" jump.
course, I'm not cool, so it may fall down. and you wonder why Slim says hurry it up a bit.
Don't Fu(k around at exit point. it aint the DZ, it's a BASE jump. when at exit point, all I expect is an exit...... no country clubbing checking out the view............
gotta go mix another drink, and pack my sh!t up.
slider up, from a tower, may take me all of 20 minutes.....soft cocks!!!!!!!!!!!!1
    Peace out, and still smokin'
