That statement is correct in my books. However, this statement is true for ALL individuals, not one. It is a "reciprocal relationship between an individual and society. So if one person pursues his right to happiness at the expense of others, it is a selfish, hypocritical act. i.e. I'm sure Hitler was happy pursuing . . . . . . domination.

Hence the reason for laws, rules, and regulations.

Hence this discussion.

I think all people should do what the hell they please. As long as they don't detrimentally affect the lives of others. Burning sites does this.

Life is a balancing act of morals, ethics, peace, happiness, etc.

No matter what you do, you're going to affect some people positively, and others negatively. It's a fact of life. Where we draw the line is a part of what makes each of us unique.

We could argue the consitution and morality all day, and we would never touch on the fact that we're all individuals -- not acting according to any kind of code, but essentially just acting according to our whims.

The real world is too big to be described by words like "morals", "ethics", "peace", "happienss", or whatever.

Lines are so. . . linear. I prefer to draw a circle, and see what lies outside.
