Did you ever hear that George Bush Sr. was
linked to sales of that fancy lateral drilling technology to Kuwait that they used to take oil from Iraq by drilling across the border dropping the resevior level very fast. During the whole Gulf war that story was strangely absent from the American media. Very curious.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein being such a crazy MoFo hot head....

Yeah! I heard about that story...

I guy named Tracy Walker told me that story in Lysebotn, Norway...

I did not doubt it for a second since everyone knows how corrupt and greedy politicians are - especially republicans :P

I heard the same story from some friends of mine in the Gulf war on the USS America aircraft carrier at the time. They did not mention the connection to Bush but they did confirm the reason for Iraq being pissed off; Kuwait stealing their oil...

As a person who works in Oil and Gas Industry I can say there exist many circles leading back to some companies in question out of Texas. Such companies who cannot directly sell to Iraq(and other questionable countries) will have their canadian representatives sell into Iraq under a different name. The funny thing here is that George bush Sr. could quite conceivable be making money from various streams of technologies both supporting the Iraqi Oil Exploration as well as drilling long horizontals into their reservoirs and taking the oil from them. Government is an interesting business... and I guess saddam is just a business partner who seems somewhat uncontrollable in the corporate mentality, and therefore must be replaced by a more aggreable corporate rat! Either way those are the people making the bucks!
