It was New Year's Eve in Miami Beach. Nik and his wild crew have just arrived in town after a rapid drive across the state, bringing a single 90+mph speeding ticket and a multitude of other appropriate accessories. Hotel rooms are impossible to get, and there's only one reserved. Nik proceeds to the front desk claiming to have just found a dead rat and a used hypodermic needle in his bed. A second room is given for free without further questions.
A short while later we are gearing up in the parking lot when a familiar-looking van unexpectedly pulls in. Great minds think alike and the load grows up a bit. The party is shaping up quite well.
Later yet, we are standing at the exit point over the beach watching the fireworks. A warm gentle breeze on top of a beautiful building makes us feel like the beans have already kicked in. A GoodYear blimp is slowly moving in front of us, lit up like a Christmas tree and adding another bit of a Psilly sensation to the mix.
Nothing like welcoming the New Year in a total freedom of freefall. Three canopies land on a soft white sand while another chooses a softer yet Atlantic ocean, adding to unreasonably high entertainment value of the otherwise exciting event. Fireworks continue.
A short walk to the club and the rest of the night blurs into an endless party. So, more or less, does life.
bsbd!
Yuri.
P.S. A couple more pictures from the West Coast trip below. That was a whole new story... ;-)
