I've been to Bridge Day since 1993 and made 1-4 jumps each year. The number of jumps you can make mainly depends on the weather. If it's sunny with low winds and the river is not too high, then you should easily be able to make several jumps. If there's a headwind and the water level is up, then things will slow quite a bit. There are many other factors such as train delays, injuries, multiple jumpers landing in the water (we have an extra boat this year, though!), fog, etc. The bottom line is that we'll do everything we can to get as many people off that bridge in our six hour window.
Cya there!:P

I flew all the way from Ireland in 2000 and got one jump along with the four other Irish jumpers. At the party afterwards we discovered that many experienced jumpers and friends of the organisers (note Japanese 1st timer) got 4+ jumps. Needless to say we weren't allowed complain without getting it in the ear about volunteer work, train delays etc. etc.
Phuck that, the organisers that year didn't play fair and I don't give a brown one how much I get flamed for saying so.
Go and jump the Perrine, that's what I should have done.

Some of the problems that past organizers encountered such as line cutting and letting "buddies" jump multiple times will not exist this year. Trust me on this one. I'm managing the exit point this year and I know how disappointing it can be to see the same faces passing you up in line and jumping twice before you even made one jump.
I sympathize with you on getting only one jump at Bridge Day 2000, but there were some major bus problems that kept many jumpers from getting back to the exit point. Just so everyone knows, I've been told this year there will be one State Police officer on each bus to insure that nobody gets on that bus unless they've jumped or rappelled. Plus, the buses will NOT pick anyone up on the way to the bottom.
I hope this information helps. Cya.

In 1987 a buddy and I were each able to make 5.
Jason, please consider while there is still time having a designated packing area where the buses can drop us at or near. Rather than packing in the road, the rocks, the weeds, the mud, and the crowds : an actual packing area please. thanks. Packing "wherever" is beyond safe or pleasant.
We're working on a LARGE packing area near the bus pickup area at the bottom. This will allow jumpers to pack or dry their canopies so they're not dragging them all over the bus.
Thanks for the comments.
