My canopy is opening on heading 98% of the time but my end cells are starting to stay closed and I'm starting to sink out instead of flying foward. IT takes about 1-3 sec. for it to be fully inflated. The canopy is a MOJO 240 with about 240 jumps. I weigh 175lbs and never had trouble before with the openings. Packing the same way, changing nothing. I'm on jump #99 now and the last 70 jumps, last 2.5 months, have been in MOab! NO slider jumps! What's happening. Always on heading though so I don't think it can be out of trim, can it? Any suggestions would be helpful!
    Thanks Clint

I dont have exakly the same problem(Fox 225 multi 300some jumps),My cells dont stay closed but can pump..Mostly while pushing it a bit(slider off 3plus sek).Could it be becours its good used?I saw that yours have aprox 240 jumps aprox 70 of them in Moab(lots of dust/sand rigth?).
Im oly guessing while i dont have the experience to this kind of value..
Just Happy that my next jump will be in my new Fox 265 vtec and multi, the old will then only be used to water jumps and so..

    Hey Clint

My Mojo 240 does the same thing. It got worse after the first 100 jumps. Consistent on heading openings but persistent end cell closure (especially the right side). The trim was fine.

It could be your deep brake settings. I ended up setting mine deeper. (Talk to Adam at CR about this)

It happens for me now when I get onto the toggles and let up too quick. It needs to breathe for a second....unlike a vented/valved canopy which is pretty much ready to fly by the time you unstow toggles.

<<<I really feel if you're jumping low, close to the wall, no matter what your experience level....get a properly set up _vented or valved_ parachute!!!! It will save your life some day!>>>

If my bank account could match my preachiness....I'd sell my Mojo tomorrow.

PS Clint: Do you want any of my Turkey boogie footage?.... I'd still like to get what you have of us....Thanks

    I agree with Spence.

We saw this in Moab with 2 Mojo 280s. One loaded lightly (probably just above .65 less than .7) and one well loaded (just above .8). I think the key is not to mess with it too soon. Be ready on the risers and let it fly before unstowing the toggles. Do everything smoothly. Don't yank and grab and heave at it. Just reach, release and ease them to the required position.

Treat your Mojo like you treat your lady. Be firm but gentle and get under her several times per day and take her to heaven and back.

    Skin.

PS as with your lady, inspect her frequently for defects inflicted by other users.

    :* :+
