BASE jumping got "Most Dangerous" followed by bull riding. I _MIGHT_ consider riding a bull if someone were holding a gun to my head. I don't have the appropriate equipment (ten gallon hat, high-dollar schitt kickers, bigass belt buckle, huge set of gonads), even though I'm everybody's favorite redneck. Bulls are too unpredictable. They have huge ballsacks and big nasty horns for goring. Nope... nuh uh... not me. My hat (if I had one) is off to those guys who ride bulls... they have serious gonads. Personally I'd rather take my chances jumping off of a cliff any day.
later,
Gardner
Dont believe a word Gardner said. He has all the appropiate equipment (ten gallon hat, high-dollar schitt kickers, bigass belt buckle, huge set of gonads), and he is the biggest rednek'.
okay city boy.... WHATEVER snicker
Bullriders are completely crazy. I've known a few, and they had more injuries even than a certain California BASE jumper I know! Bullriders are very, very hard and participate in the sport even with a full suite of recently-broken arms, ribs, etc. Ouch.
In defense of bulls, the reason they buck like wild men is that they cinch up a belt around their bellies to piss them off. No permanent damage, but it bothers then a good bit and they get ornery as a result. Normally, bulls are pretty cool if you are nice to them actually. Yes, I've spent time around bulls a fair bit and I think they are pretty chill without the strap business and the whole "redneck kicking them in the ribs" component. If a redneck like Gardner tried to ride me, I'd do my best to buck him off too ;)
Then again, I make a pastime of riding showjumping stallions and it seems totally reasonable to me. Some folks are scared ####less of stallions, but I find them to be super friends and great partners. Of course, I do have a full suite of injuries to show from my riding activities (ribs, legs, severely whacked shoulder, etc.) so I guess it is all relative. Stallions have big gonads, too, and when they get "fussed" they tend to turn into 1200+ pounds of fast-twitch muscle having a bad day.
BASE is very, very easy compared to teaching a young stallion manners or pissing off a full-grown bull enough to buck you off.

I just wanted to reply here because we have really cool BASE numbers.
Skin (BASE 727).

Thank you Doug. I now have an indelible image of yourself & Mr Sapp tattooed on the inside of my eyelids. Gardner is dressed like one of the village people (not the cop).
I'm fearful of going to bed tonight.
Please let's talk about something else.
Skinthetic Redneck.

Perhaps I should take a moment to reiterate the part I said about, "...if someone were holding a gun to my head."
Sup Skinthetic? May I suggest going outside and staring at the sun? That should at least mask the indelible image.
Let's shift focus from the Village People to Boy George: Camo Camo Camo Camo Camo Chameleon. Remember that phrase.
Wa Chiss,
Gardner
