let say u r selling the rig, what do u do if someone who wants to start the sport is willing to buy it .

i came to this poll couse last year i had some strange accounters when buying my rig. I noticed that it is not hard to get the rig, maybe i got one or 2 questions on my skydiving experiance and if i am really up to it. What i dont know is if seler trusts the buyer or they just dont care to whoom they sell, or is that just the think noone who is not going to go with head to BASE jumping wouldnt even consider buying.

What do the manufacturers generally do? When I got my rigs, I already had a relationship with the manufacturer -- what do they do if someone orders a rig and they've never heard of them before?

I lean toward "ask no questions" except I think that's too strong a statement for me. I'm probably going to ask questions, just like I ask everyone questions, but I don't really think it's my responsibility to protect the world from itself.

I am sympathetic to the viewpoint that we need to be careful who gets a rig... But at the same time it seems a little presumptuous to think that we can control who has rigs and who does not -- and a waste of energy to try to exert such control.
