I could set up a corporation and do a first offering stock sale - each base jumper interested in creating a base jumper owned tower could buy as much stock as they can afford. If we raise enough money to buy a tower, then we would. If we don't, we dissolve the corp. and refund the money. Anyone buying stock would be entitled to a porportionant amount of revenue from selling the tower airtime/whatever you call it. It wouldn't be much money - but over the long term would at least cover your ownership costs.
Does anyone know about the jumpability/accessibility of the towers that are for sale?
cp
I'm pretty sure that the accesability would be great, seeing that you have to dismantle and take away the towers. As far as jumpability... not sure. I think they are all "guyed" and only 350ft tops. Which means most likely an outside climb and no real platforms. High probability for a wire strike with it being so low and with probably 3 sets of wires.
The sale is July 10th...
Anyone in the area that can go and look at them??

When i was talking with Harrison brothers a while ago, they told me about an interesting idea, which we might use for this one. I don't know who's original idea it is (they told me, but i forgot).
All base-jumpers, who don't have kids or family, should sign a will and make a neutral company or trustfund for the benefactor. When people will die, we'll buy the land and built a new floor for each passed jumper. Just the basic structure, not walls or anything (well, maybe a bar downstairs :)).
Over the years the building keeps getting higher and we can pay our respect for past-jumpers, when passing trough their floors. The building should be legally open for all base-jumpers.
If we get hundred jumpers signed, i can buy the land from some cheap area and hand it over for the project - just to get this started.
How about it? I'm in, if other people are.
