    Hello,
Yes Mick, it was Gabbi from AUSTRIA.
She was the "Tattooed BASE Lady".
    She now flies free.
Lauterbrunnen continues to run it's death gambit,
the attitude that these walls are easy isn't so.
It claims lives of both the experienced, as well
as those of the inexperienced. Please BASE brothers
and sisters, be safe, respect this sport, it is DEADLY!

Gaby did not jump in the Valley that time. It was somewhere else.

    Thanks for mentioning it.

    Hello,
Sorry, the first indication I received was that the jump was made from Gimmelwald. Is Grindelwald not considered part of Lauterbrunnen Valley?
Regardless of the location, my statement stands, walls aren't easy.

According to the article(August 14th, 2003, 16:20) in 'Der Bund', one of the two major newspapers in Bern, the tragic accident happened from the $$$$$ near $$$$.

The same newspaper started a vote for

    Basejump-accidents in the Berner Oberland

"Wednesday a second BASEjump accident happened in the Berner Oberland
for the second time in this week. What is your opinion: Should this high risk sport be banned in Switzerland?"

    Question:
Yes, this sport is way to dangerous: 22.2 %
No, each is responsible for him/herself: 73.6 %
    No opinion: 4.2 %
    Total give voters 663

I saw Gabi on Monday evening on the packing place at the Horner.

My condolences to Her Family and Friends.
Gabi, fly high and be free.

    Stefan

I did not want to name this spot (even the news did)! Few people know it and it should stay that way (not easy access and not easy jump, + difficult conditions -> don't go by yourself).

    Please remove, Thanks

    Hey Mick!

Me and some friends attended Gabi's funeral last week. It was very moving and sad.
If you want some more informations about the accident, send me an e-mail: buex@gmx.li

Seven and I would like to send good vibes to all of Gabis family and friends in this very sad time,

We never had the pleasure to meet you Gabi but many of my good mates had only good this to say about you and when I heard from a mate that you and I shared a passion, I had hoped we would meet , see you in the afterlife .
