The Nazi Punk Service yesterday destroyed a 393-foot-high observation tower next to the Gettysburg battlefield, declaring that the structure was an eyesore. Sources close to the situation, however, said NPS managers merely used that as an excuse to destroy the popular structure because they were afraid it would become a popular BASE site.
The Nazi Punks had earlier sought and received federal court condemnation of the private property on which it sat so that it could demolish the structure, which served for 25 years as a means by which ordinary Americans could get aerial views of and comprehensive information about the Civil War's most famous and bloody battlefield.
Once more, the Nazi Punks show that they are not only above the law but will change the law in order to do whatever they want.
