Is there anybody who can give me some hints/tips on freefall reverse jumps (PC handle, wind considerations as you can go backward during opening from a bridge, pack job...)

I have experimented two succesfull S/L reverse jumps (it's fun to see the canopy opening) but I'm waiting for some advices before going further on with freefall.

By "reverse" I mean with the rig in the front (not in the back!) and the canopy packed backward (to become foreward after opening).

    Thanks for help.

One thing to watch is something we found doing reverse static line jumps using student gear.

(I think they were student Sweethogs).

If you don't have the leg straps adjusted snuggly enough the yoke on (some) rigs will try and rip your head off. In the wrong rig this could result in a broken neck.

Hang yourself in a hanging harness with whatever rig you are planning to use and see where the yoke winds up, depending on the rig geometry this point could be a lot higher than your chin.

BTW, on the Sweethog jumps we thought if we had to cutaway for some reason, we'd just pull the cables out of the riser loops by hand and also manually deploy the reserve. At the time it didn't sound any harder than it was in the days of capwells and belly mounts. :-)

I had this problem on some rigs. The one I used was OK for this point but I used it at low speed (static line jumps), don't know what would happen with 2 or 3 seconds delays.

Another problem I encountered was the position of the toggles, they were very high and difficult to grab. Can those who made freefall reverse jumps tell me what rig they used?

    Thanks
