Places to stay in Stavanger?

Can anyone reccommend some cheap options for accomadation in Stavanger for one nite. Any places Ive found on the web are v-expensive. Cheers &-)

Norway = expensive=worth every cent

get use to it try on aussie dollars worth half yours US .

I have stayed at the Commandor hotel Stavanger for the last 4 years 500NOK per night single or 795 NOK for a big room double top breakfast and nice people

Give them a ring and see if the price suits.. I'm sure it was pretty cheap, but was a bit of a walk to the ferry.

Is the 8:00am ferry the only one that goes from Stavanger to Lysebotten daily or is there a later ferry?

You can get a bus from stavanger leave's about 12:00 to lervick change another bus and then to lasand and you meet the ferry it then heads back to lysebotten better to get the early one as you will get there pay your rego walk the landing area and can jump the next day early

Norway has the highest standard of living in the world(per capita) and you will pay for everything in a big way. Hook up with a local that has rented on of those cottage apts. They are like 80 a night and sleep 4 in a sort of somfortable way.
