July 7th, 2001 I recently went to the X Sports Week in Voss, Norway and had a great time. The BASE side of the week was really well run and incident free and the local jumpers were very friendly. There was a lot going on all week with two days of heli lifts to the top of a nearby 3,000' cliff, lots of jumps from other lower local cliff sites and jumps from a crane into the lake. Only wish I had taken my skydiving gear because the DZ was buzzing too. I am definitely planning to go back next year!

looking for more info on Voss. Poss looking to be in town early next week. Is jumping open all the time? Where are best exit points, anything need doing to keep on side with locals ect?
July 12th, 2001 Apart from Gudvangen which is easy to find, you will need to speak to the locals who can show you the sites.

You can stay in the bunkhouse at the DZ and if you ask at manifest ther they will point you in the direction of some local BASE jumpers, who in my experience were very helpful.
