Some English buddies of mine are arriving in Lysebotn on 19 July (x3) and 21 July (x2) to do first BASE jumps. Don't quite understand your post - please explain?

They must arrive with an approved instructor or have recommendations from one., (has went thru balloon exits/tracking/accuracy/etc).
If this is a problem then I can recommend instructors in your (their) area.

July 8th, 2001 I'm coming aug for 2 weeks have never been but have 168 base jumps what do I need if anything?
July 9th, 2001 Thanks Space. Most of them are current skydiving instructors and they are all currents and good trackers.

Had a horrible feeling that is what you meant. This is the first I have heard of this. What has changed? Last thing I heard from Stein was minimum 250 skydives, 20 in last 6 months. Less than 15 base jumps, have to do the NBF course?

July 22nd, 2001 OK. Got to the bottom of this one after speaking to Stein at the Norwegian BASE Federation (NBF). The first post by Space only refers to people travelling to Lysebotn who intend to use Space's services as a guide/coach/whatever. There is no change to the rules for anyone going to Lysebotn otherwise. My guys are there right now and jumping.
