Just curious, but are there lots of people using 48 and above PC's? I dont know many people with a PC above 46.

The largest I have is a 46 and will use this for low jumps, but generally I sometimes feel a 42 is a better option than the 46 due to initial inflation consistancy. I dont think I would like to take anything bigger than a 46 for my freefall range due to this. For information I have either jumped a 266 in a velcro rig or 280 in a pin rig.

    Nice point, Mac!
Me too I'm interested to know this...
Personally, I use a 48" PC for my hop 'n pop, for delays less than 1 sec off my 60 meters objects...
But maybe this would be a little off topic... Wouldn't be better to open another thread about this? ;-)
    Peace,

In my opinion, the variation in a larger PC is greater. If you want consistency, go with the smaller size. If you want the fastest possible opening, go with a big old PC, and learn to get it inflated ASAP every time (the toss technique has a huge impact on the variability in inflation time, in my experience).

For go and throws, I go with a big bright yellow 48" PC.
