Can I Use My Wings For Base

I have a wings ext and i birdman s3 why is it neccary to buy a base rig i'm not familiar with base jumping and i don't understand why you should use a base rig and not a regular container.

It is not necessary, but it is highly recommended!
Why do you want to drag around an extra parachute that you are not going to use?

When (or if) you become familiar with BASE jumping, it will make sense.
If you are not familiar with BASE jumping, then you certainly should NOT
be considering making BASE jumps, and certainly NOT with a wingsuit.

Keep in mind, for BASE jumpers, a BASE rig is a REGULAR container.
We want to know why we can't just use our BASE rigs out of planes!

I live in norway and the biggest earth jump that i no of here is 3200 ft and thier's lots of 2k's around and i figure that i would pull around 1200 that gives me some time if a problem occurs and since a have a vigil AAD it would deploy for me at 840ft you see i'm cautious i don't have a death wish and i live near the biggest vertical cliffs in the world so what would be the point of getting a rig when i'm jumping of the highest and not the lowest which i can understand you would need a base rig and i no a few people that use thier base rigs to jump off of a plane at 12500ft but if i did get one it would be a morpheous wsX-treme do you have any experience with this container or no any one who does also their is the apex sorcerer a base rig with a reserve for people like me that enjoy life and want to live a long time

What you COULD do and what you SHOULD do are often very different things.
The point of getting a BASE rig is that you will be BASE jumping.
BASE specific gear has proven to be safe and effective.
If you were to get into BASE jumping,
believe me, you will not forever be dumping @ 1200 feet.
If you are going to hike to 3200 feet,
would you like to cut the load you have to carry by half?
I am curious, what canopy is in your Wings container?

This is beyond PM.
I am not an instructor, coach or mentor.
Someone else can give the long technical dissertation.
I too have jumped a BASE rig out of an airplane @ altitude,
and this was back when a BASE rig meant velcro closed.
I would not suggest anyone try it.
When skydiving, a BASE rig is the wrong tool for the job.
I hope this does not totally hose me, but in 24 years of jumping,
I've never seen a reserve parachute, at least not above my head.
I have had some functions, both in BASE and skydiving,
thanks to God they worked out, and I just got to take a break to think.

A Stilletto in a Wings on a BASE wingsuit jump is just not wise.
A once off fancy trick just might work out,
but why not take advantage of what we have learned over the years.
Collapsable pilot chute, eliptical canopy, deployment bag, yuck!
Throw in a zipped up flying squirrell suit and the big burble.
All this for a guy who has admitted no BASE experience.

Death is hungry and indiscriminate.
