After a long career in BASE (started end 2000), after having completed the (daylight) word, night word, naked word, after having jumped quite some sorts of objects, yesterday night my 37th new object jumped was a truly trasmitting A!!!!!!!
I can hardly refrain my tears pouring down my eyes![]()
My heart is bleedingfrom such a strong feeling
A truly freestander transmitting A, with all its good radomes filling the exit point, thanks to good Lord there is a good corner free of trasmitting stuff.
Jolly fùcking scary (for my standard) the climb, a vertical non-protected (internal) ladder, with no "proper" lay bay, my luck was it was not a long climb. In fact, after 46 m - 141 ft of climb, we reached exit
.
We stood there for a while, breathing the cool night breeze, looking from that high (relatively... ) point the civilization of men, so far, both in distance and in time, we were living the time of BASE, not the (standard) time of men, we were so far from cities, from men, from all the small things men can do, so far from all the low things men can do, longing to live the gift of flight in few seconds time. And I shared these nice thoughts of mine with my mates, who they sort of appreciate...
When we all decided that my bullsh|tting was enough (...I don't like so much the fact that my mates do not appreciate so much my poetry...), we jumped.
Then a good PCA for #726, who, once landed, took in charge the duty of filming the 2 of us, lightning the scene with my (newly bought) infrared torch.
Off I went in SL (with my C.W.Y. (Carry With You) and Special Bridle), then #854 with standard SL followed to close the team off the transmitting A.
Something quite acceptable came out from the video, as soon as I put my hands on such a video, I can download a short MPEG1 video and I will post it here, for the joy of all the folks and ladies of the world BASE community![]()
