Your thoughts??
Um, no. personal attack was the reason duh. There is a big difference between being honest and being an attacker. Your thoughts?

Ive been permanently banned from dropzone. Why? I made a factual commentary in a post which wasnt complimentary to Aiello. Who cares? Base jumping is about jumping, not about posting. There are more "Base Fakes" on Dropzone than you know, many of these people are "big names" as well, people who no longer jump, who are fascinated by their own cleverness, and/or are desperately in need of attention. Aiello, I find comical because he is inconsistent about his own rules; his friends and supporters regularly break or bend the rules, his non supporters are treated with a heavy hand and are typically censored. And many of these jumpers are vastly better and more current and more experienced jumpers than Aiello claims to be. Aiello is in no way ethically, morally, philosophically, or experientially superior to the rest of us to judge or direct. He has assumed this position, appointing himself. Again, dont worry about it; if you're in the sport for social reasons you are in it for the wrong reasons in my opinion. Jump. Dont post. Leave Aiello to solve his emotional problems with dropzone, and play politics in his admittedly sophisticated way; Just go jump, enjoy, and celebrate your own freedom from the confines of civilization, boundaries drawn by either the blossoming social intricacies of the base world or those of the regular world. You have your moment alone away from them at the exit point...They must rely on others to either give them permission and confidence to exist, or too give them a sense of control because they can manipulate people skillfully in order to feel powerful and important. They will lie about their jump numbers, currency, object count, and skill level. Through a process of insinuation and innuendo, name dropping, and favor swapping they will allow you to believe that they are greater personages than they really are. All Base Jumpers seem to have notable personal, social, emotional, or psychological problems; but it is interesting to observe how some wait to take advantage of avenues to control just as soon as the opportunity arises...potentials, which, if realized, return us right back to the larger society whose values and plodding one dimensional restrictions we were escaping in the first place...mainstream. The common place. The herd mentality. Controlled, ordered, predictable, easy, lazy...
Think for yourself. Nick has gained his freedom and individuality.

It doesn't really matter, I don't guess. DZ.com is mainly entertainment to me. I have pretty much the same job as TruckerBASE, so I have to have something to do during waiting periods.
As for Nick, I might have been able to see a 14 day banning, but not a permanent one. He has lots to offer in terms of BASE and rigging knowledge.
As for NickNitro, His PA was so freakin juvenile. And with it being aimed at the moderator it was sure to get him banned. It seems that he did this on purpose to set himself free of DZ.com. I wouldn't mind reading TruckerDan's post. I do find it hard to fathom that Tom would ban somebody for a factual post. Sometimes, people try to do the best for the community in their opinion and unintentionally screw up. The old adage of "If you try to please everybody, nobody will like it." comes to mind.
But other times things get personal and one can't let it slide. That goes for mods also. That being said. The simplest solution is to start your own site and ban him back.
The same as Zhills in '91.
DZO Kabeller banned enough people that they opened their own DZ. It still thrives today. As long as you want to play other peoples games, you have to play by their rules. Which is why I like BASE. It's my game and my rules for my jumps.
Take care,

Hi guys,
Let's make clear that sangiro not Tom banned me permanently. I honestly do not know Tom involvement in my banning. My IP address got also blocked from the BASE forum, like there are no ways around it!
Anyway I got banned because I called Tom Aiello a "pathetic human being" which truth to be told it might have been juvenile if you will but in the end I do not regret it, seriously.
I go the most disrespect for Tom. Not only he is a very mediocre BASE jumper, poor rigger, egocentric teacher, but also an instigator. He does instigate by playing by DZ.com rules so I guess kudos to him! Tom outside the virtual world is a coward who cannot handle direct confrontations.
For those of you who do not know me personally I can guarantee you that I rarely talk down to anyone and if I do it is right on their faces. I am a very reasonable guy who really ties to look at the good traits in people.
This time with all the crap Tom wrote about Miles I just had enough, so in the end it could be a good thing that I'm out.
For those of you who never met Miles in person pretty please wait until you meet the guy before start making a remote opinion. He truly is one of the good guys.
Tom is also a moderator here so I guess I'll be banned from Blinc as well!
If that will be the case my e-mail is nicknitro71@yahoo.com
My address

Harveys Lake, PA 18618
PS
One of the pioneers of the sport sent me an e-mail with these words:
"It's funny how Mr. Grobler lets his little boy dish it out as much as he wants but won't let him take even a whisper of it in return."
PPS
FYI, Mr. Willem Grobler is the real name of sangiro
PPPS
I'll be at BD parting my ass off with all the good stuff maggot is going to bring!
here are some of my thoughts on the subject of dorkzone.
and Nick, feel free to speak your mind here. I too am a moderator here and you're not gonna get banned or hassled here like you did on dorkzone.
Nick, what you said about Tom Aiello telling lies about other BASE Jumpers I agree with whole heartedly.
I also agree with everything you're saying as well Trucker BASE.

What's this? Do we get to have some fun here on Blinc too! Just like the old days! Wheeee!
By the way I really enjoyed the way that Perrine Bridge Festival thread ended before Tommy deleted all the good posts. Any time we revisit that good ol "Top Rail" subject sure is fun. I didn't even post a single thing this time in that thread and several people got banned! That was great! Oh yea, and Sangiro got involved too! Any time that happens you know you're doing well.
Hey, it sounds like some of you are actually really concerned about Tommy's little ban happy click finger. Its not a bad thing ya know! Its pretty fun actually. Several months ago I was giving out SATAN P #s to people who got banned in as many ways as possible. It was quite fun. Juvenile, childish? Absolutely but boy was it ever fun. One guy really got under Tom's skin with some pedophelia comments that were way over the line. Man that was funny! My favorite come backs are when they say stuff like this: "You are desperately in need of attention." and "Why don't you get a life!" Maybe we should start giving out points for certain comments made to you. For either of the two above comments you get 500 points. For a permanent ban you get the most points - 10,000. For a "4th grade humor" comment you get 300. For ..... aw forget it.
Oh and if you want to go back to the Dorkzone and not be banned its really easy. You of course have to get a new name and then do a couple other things. Just ask someone who knows about computers and all that stuff.
Johnny – you're the last person anyone should be listening too.
Remember Bridge Day 2004 when a visiting jumper off handedly said he'd pack a rig for you, and when he declined later on you started a fight with him in the hotel lobby. I found him later sitting outside trembling in shock. He was a good guy having a good time and you ruined his Bridge Day – and for no other reason other than you're a punk who couldn't get his way.
I lost whatever respect I may have had for you that day . . .

Where did you get this idea?
I just checked the ban log, and you have not been banned from DZ.com at all since we started keeping records (January of 2005).

"Culpable deniability" is a coward's way out. Aiello is internet savvy and PR savvy. Sangiro operates Dropzone, Aiello operates Base Zone aka "the tom aiello channel" channelling, indeed, Aiello's need for attention and importance, satisfying his delusions of greatness and control. Playing the strategy of reputation isolation and projection ( "golly, Im just a good old guy nice and friendly" flies nicely in the world of lawyers and advertising and baby kissing, but doesnt fly in the world of integrity and truth. Aiello is being advanced as the front man of BASE by technique and strategy; being banned by Sangiro (aka william groebler) on dropzone on behalf of Aiello is exclusion by committee. Politically operating insular aspects, having others perform and take credit for "dirty work" to cover for, and protect and build the reputation of a political frontman is a standard for politicing and empire building. The front man remains clean regardless, HE didnt do anything, it was that other person who is the scape goat and who takes the fall for the good of the final goal.
Eliminating alternate interests and voices, restricting and prohibiting free speech and open criticism is the hallmark of totalitarianisms, dictatorships, and corporate entities. Even the youthful social organization of dropzone's base corporation. Money and power raise its ugly head even on neo-nascent levels. Straddling the skydiving world with complete autonomy, with a single sole moderator, Base Zone is no casual web offering. The old adage "the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world" rings true. The whole thing smacks of Business and Politics. Money and control. Either now or in the future. Aiello has made himself its leader by direction and intent.
Politics lack integrity by definition; staying in your own jumping world and staying out of the politics, allows you to remain pure. At the exit point you are Aiello's superior in every way.
I can assure the reader that my base zone access IS permanently banned. It WAS banned directly because of my criticism of Tom Aiello. Anyone who does not support the future of dropzone and Aiello's take and angle on the base zone will be similarly banned. Base Zone isnt about the community of jumpers, it is there for its own reasons, a worldview which if you do not share will result in your removal or censure.
ps. Im sorry; is sangiro even a base jumper? I think not...
pps. Also, anyone who wants direct proof that I am banned can have my password and username and see for themselves
Nick, Nick, Nick...when are going going to quit giving people ****???
Nevermind that was a stupid question ;-)

Your last post was made on January 4th, 2006.
You last logged in to DZ.com on February 10, 2006.
The only posts of yours that have ever been removed from the DZ.com forums were:
1) 3 posts: some off topic banter (mostly responses to BASE 515 and RhondaLea about the now legendary "naked beacon photos") in late October of 2005.
2) 1 post: Naming a jumper and looking for contact information, removed at request of the named jumper on August 16, 2005.
I also recall editing out a couple of personal attacks you made on Jason Bell in a Bridge Day thread, but I can't recall exactly when that was.
You are not banned from DZ.com, nor have you been since at least January of 2005.
A complete list of your postings is linked above, and your user profile (here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/foru...e=truckerbase;) shows that your last login was around 3 weeks after your last post, so it's unlikely that you were banned or had your username disabled as a result of that post (since 3 weeks later the post would have floated down several pages, and moderator action on that board is practically never taken on threads that are below about the top half of the first page).
I'm honestly at a loss for why you think you've been banned. If you email me a phone number, I'd be happy to call you. Alternately, if you send me a current email address, I'll be happy to pass along my phone number so we can talk about it directly.
Thanks!

I'd love to see them, so I can try to sort out what's happened to give you this impression. If you're willing to let me try to sort it out, you can email them to me at tbaiello@mac.com.Originally Posted by truckerbase
