Fayette County Sheriff Bill Laird has confirmed to 13News there has been a fatality at Bridge Day.

A 66-year old man died upon impact below the New River Gorge Bridge, in Fayette County.

13News has a crew on the scene and will continue to follow this developing story.

Again, a 66-year old man has died at Bridge Day in Fayette County. This is the first fatality at the event since 1987.
