Do they look like the attached pictures?
If these are what your talking about, I'd like to know more about them. We found this one the other day and we're trying to figure out if there's anything we need to worry about up there.
Thanks,
Wow. That's crazy looking. I've never seen one with those big pyramid things on it.
Yeah, neither have we. If they won't fry your nuts I think this will make a nice little jump.Originally Posted by d_goldsmith
If you're NSEMN8R I think you've already seen this, but we might as well list it here anyway for anyone that didn't see it on DZ.

These are amongst my favorite kind of freestander, I have video of going off several of these at night. Dont get in front of the "shoehorn" transmitters, stay in the center of the platform to gearcheck and prepare. Then get off. Ive exited standing right next to them and didnt feel anything unusual, but Id suggest not hanging around up there to enjoy the sights. Also, Ive noticed a number of freestanders seem to put out less energy later at night (less traffic) so that would be a better time to go off.Originally Posted by 1082
These antennas are particularly fun when they are defunct, which is not uncommon. AT and T seems to own a lot of them. Most of them range from 300-360 feet, although Ive come across one in Louisiana and one in Missouri which were about 220.
The photos shown have arrays sticking out well below the platform, which isnt real common; make sure they do not interfere with your freefall.
Enjoy!
