OK! not that I Know how to ride bikes, but......I'M flippin' jeahlous of dem' dudde's der.

Some poster at the "other' site said : "Great, another kid who's mommy didn't give them enough attention, with no respect for the sport" and "I also believe in "leave nothing but footprints", and smashing a motorcycle or 6 down a cliff side, leaves a little more than a "footprint"......... But each to their own."

Yeah , well maybe your daddy (or uncle or priest or rabbi) gave you too much attention, if ya know what i mean ?

ok look, it's obviously on Indian Land. Maybe i'm wrong but from what i see, it's "Native American" land (PC version- but I say "Indian" and "They" do too!), and Im gonna guess they paid to do waht they did, and had too clean it up as well.

Shit , that's some bad ass shit. I want more, hell i want to be invited, hey teach me how to ride a flippn' bike and ill do it.... You provide the bike, and the "payoff" to the local tribe etc, and ill be there!!

Point being (besides the double front flips) he's (and the rest of them) tryin' new things. I will bet you 'they' got permission to be there and cleaned up the mess.

He's hardly a dumbass though. He's ; from what have heard, a pretty damn good Freestyle bike rider. And JUst like the ski BASE'ers tryin' new stuff. And doin' it differen't and with talent. Talent you and I lack for sure.

If they did this "Bandit" style, i would agree with you. But.......

I think it's just BASE being further pushed, where next?

Just because these guy's do this stuff and share it via video , doesn't nessecarily meen there 'mommy's or daddy's didn't pay attentionn to them? But I don't know them or grew up with them so the verdict out on that one?

.....Also remember, regular people (and skydivers) think "regular" BASE'ers are "reckless assholes", but they just don't know waht "we" know. So maybe, oh just maybe we don't know what these guy's know?

I often notice the most talented in this sport are often critized all the time when tryin' new things, and down the line (years later), it doesn't seem so out of the ordinary anymore.

Look's like fun to me.

I find it funny how new jumpers come along and circle around Tom A on his forum and then think they know it all when it comes to ethics.

Did you learn your ethics from Tom Aiello? The guy who made a gazillion copies of the walnut grove key and passed them out as "Hey, please be my friend gifts." You can read the thread where Tom gets called out here; but of course Tom deleted this thread from his censored forum. Wouldn't want newbies getting the wrong idea about what Tom is really like.

Gee this is funny, your commentary perfectly describes Tom Aiello when he came up to Twin Falls and put the first black mark on the Perrine Bridge. You probably don't care about that though since you didn't spend years nurturing a good relationship with the community of Twin Falls like I did, and you were nowhere around this sport when it all went down.

Then Tom proved even further his lack of respect for our bridge by putting out large platforms just to brag to new jumpers (true story: I had a student approached by Aiello saying, "you should see how big my platform is") which has caused the most problems to date with the authorities because his grossly oversized platforms raise 5 inches or more off the sidewalk and obstruct the sidewalk for pedestrians, wheelchairs, and bicyclist. And he knew that wasn't cool early on because I heard a cop tell him not to do it. Before Tom started screwing things up we were able to use a simple flat plank that didn't obstruct the sidewalk and we never had a complaint. Since Tom's abuse of our privilege (which we established long before Tom started BASE jumping), there has been lots of complaints and problems about platforms with the reason given that Tom has obstructed the sidewalk with his large platforms countless times. When Russell was jumping was one exception to have a larger ramp, but for Tom to put out his big ramps so often like he has done when there was no need for it has damaged our relationship with the transportation department that maintains the bridge. That's right, Tom has done some of the worst damage to the Perrine Bridge site, in my opinion, and I know the history of that bridge better than any of you.

Then he has the arrogance to contact the Idaho transportation department and question them about things like jumping from the rail. What kind of idiot would bring concerns to the authorities just to be able to post crap online about his red bull enemies in Twin Falls?

I got the impression that fixme's point was that Travis and Co got permits and did their professional stunts for a movie and that he thought the stunts were cool.
He basically repeated himself in answering your question.

Like anything. Breakin and entering/and STEALING, isn't that like the Biggest BASE no-no? Aren't we supposed to sneak in and not steal. I've been in some construction sites and could have stolen dudes cool tools and stuff that they left for the next day, i mean expensive stuff but never did. Never. I didn't even enter my mind.
