Is the new deal with FJCs, that ethics are no longer important?? In the past month or so we've had several FJC students pass through the area that within 10 jumps wanted to jump another area object. I understand this. In most cases they have been hooked up with the approriate area jumper.

Then, last night a group of inexperienced jumpers were trying to get my other roommate that doesn't jump, to take them out to a local object. I don't know if all the other locals had said no or what. And I hate to be a dick, but I called another local and let them know what was going on.

The point is since there are so many new people entering the sport, is the idea that we should just drop ethics?? That people from now on should just do as they please??

In the couple of years I've been involved in Base things have seem to have changed rapidly.

Why does the non-jumper know where an illegal object is?

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl

Probably because he lives in a house with other Base jumpers and frequented often by other jumpers. Plus one of the jumpers likes to tell everyone about their exploits.

Real cute Nick. So you're saying, when you were teaching FJCs, that at the end of the course your students were certified jumpers now and knew everything they would ever need to know. Then all you would have to do is give them a list of local objects and tell them they were on their own.

If you do a search here you will find that ethics have always been an area for argument and disagreement. It is certain to become more so now that more and more people jump, and more and more people jump without experienced jumpers guiding them.

Hey Nick, thanks for teaching me how to jump. now I'm gonna go burn your shit - I don't give a fuck cause I'm a new jumper and I'm fucking bullet proof! My mum and dad died years ago - if you dig them up and rape my mum / cut my dad's balls, can you say I said hi? I miss those guys!
You know what I'd really be scared of? if you do, please let me know. I haven't seen shit lately that'd make me wanna not burn any sites - sites deserve to be burned.
Thats what BASE stands for isn't it?
