Do you all like the BFL in the Article Manager? http://www.blincmagazine.com/cms/pub...FL/index.shtml

    The current bfl
    http://www.splatula.com/bfl

What do you like or dislike as far as usability. I know alot of people want the "died outside the sport" section back. Can't do everything at once though.

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl

I suppose it is good to have it in there, but the colors/page styles from the two sources kind of conflict... The version on splatula looks a bit cleaner...

Indeed. Internet Archive is slooow, and this is the only place I know of to find this. What led to this section being removed in the first place?

I prefer the original format, but article manager works too.

Ultimately, whomever takes on the task determines the format, so...

Hear hear. *Knock on wood*. I still think it should have been updated with

Take a look at the first entry, here: http://www.blincmagazine.com/cms/pub...Complete.shtml

That first entry is listed just as on the Splatula site and how Nick displayed it for years. It's actually a cut and paste of the former. So, if you want to read the list that way, you can.

Otherwise, everything you see beneath that first entry ('BASE Fatality List (Complete)') is a separate article in and of itself. It's just the way Article Manager works...it shows a summary bit and you have to click to read the entire thing. It sorts on date, and thus starts with #120 and counts backwards. The nice thing about having separate articles (in addition to the one main article) is that if you search the KB, relevant fatalities will come up as well. So, the fuckernaut newb w/ 4 jumps who's deadset on aerials and searches on the term will see that far better people than him/her have died while performing them.

OK, so its not as intuitive as the other.

we may have to redo it and not use Article Manager for it or apply a different skin.

Keep the suggestions coming, or if you change your mind after a bit also post. There will be a search routine turned on soon in Article Manager which is why we thought it would be good to have the BFL there.
