Following is a report from J posted on BJ.com and it's pretty the same thing I heard from people on the scene...

Manu (Manuele Amadori) left us yesterday.

He was performing a solo track from a terminal wall in Alto Adige. His exit, track and deployment were all normal but the PC did not extract the pins. The PC stayed in tow till impact. The PC was fully inflated and the bridle was straight, it remains unclear why the pins did not extract.

Manu was an experienced and capable jumper. My thoughts go out to his family, friends and the Mucho BASE team.

There's an investigation to understand the reasons of this accident...
Manu was a skilled BASE jumper and a great friend! He will be missed a lot...
