    Here's the link: http://basejumper.com/cgi-bin/forum/...889792#2889792

I normally wouldn't want to cross-post like this, but...the meat of it is in the link. I don't even want to copy/paste the contents as I could actually see BLiNC catching some legal bullshit from corporate wankers who now "own" the content on that site. I'm sure this will spawn all sorts of discussion, but I'm more interested in what it means to BASE than what it means about one individual or another. Skip the obvious target(s) and bashing, as that doesn't really amount to anything, anyway.

It doesn't mean anything to base jumping.

I've made my last post at BJ.com. I never like that site or the way its run. I could not be happier to see it's owner get out of a bunch of sport he never did and never understood. We should all thank Mick for keeping Blinc open all these years. Its been around since I started and I hope it keeps running for a long time.

EXACTLY, but you've got to admit that commercializing out to a non-specific marketing company doesn't lend much credibility to all the RedBull bashing or otherwise. I just see it as a huge contradiction.

You should take Mon and Tues off and come to Seattle. I'm off on another Corporate America-sponsored BASE trip. One day maybe I'll actually get to jump at home...

Yeah and its beaten to death. Those that see it see it, those that don't don't, and the real smart ones don't give a shit and leave the computer off.

This is in clear violation of your Splatula sponsor agreement! Are those whisk-brothers wooing you again??

10-4. This site was around before I knew what BASE jumping was. Thank you Mick for keeping it up and keeping alive a long history of communications between jumpers.

In fact, we still have some 1998 and 1999 data to load, don't we!

Oh, wow. Tom's website is being sold out to whoffos? In fact, how long of non-jumping until you effectively become a whoffo yourself, TomA?

    Very sad. Very sad indeed...

This is probably a simple question (although I can't manage the answer) but I'll ask it anyway. How do you delete your account on Basejumper.com? I've removed all of my personal information on my profile, but I can't find the magic button to delete the account.

As for Tom's dorkzone, the Tom Channel gets higher traffic from the skydivers because of the link to dropzone but I think when the moderator (Tom A) bans BASE jumpers more experienced than him because of disagreements on technical aspects of BASE it has made the Tom Channel an illegitimate forum. It's obvious that Tom wants people to think he is the know it all in BASE and if you challenge that he might ban you so he can go back to being the "know it all" to the new guys that don't know any better.

By censoring Technical discussions and banning knowledgeable jumpers like he has done in the past, Tom Aiello has hurt BASE... and BASE jumpers.

Bithcing about everyone else on other forums, doesnt help this forum either! Grow up boys, turn the other chick to the fellows and start making a BASE BOARD, not bithc board!

I don't see anyone here "Bithcing about everyone else on other forums".
However many BASE jumpers have been wronged by Tom and see his performance as an inconsistent moderator driven by political motivations as a real downside to our community. Some of these jumpers chose to speak out about it. Nothing wrong with that. It's good to see jumpers speak out about it. This is an issue in BASE that Tom created.

Paul, if you were on the Tom channel and you got into a healthy debate about something Technical with Tom and then Tom turned around and banned you during the discussion so that he could have the last word (even though you didn't break a forum rule), then you might understand just how wrong that is.

You have your opinion, others in this thread have theirs....
