Default Memorial Weekend - Hotels

Shilo Inn just called... They're doing a BASE Jumper special, $69.95!

This is a real nice hotel and they let you pack in the conference room as long as there's no event going on. It's close to the bridge and has an indoor pool and jacuzzi.

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl

Plus it carries the "Johnny Utah 5-star" approval rating.

But you are still letting me crash with you right??? (oh, Katie and the guppy will be there as well). I like my coffee black and my eggs scrambled (fluffy, not too dry).

Sorry, only katie was invited. You're welcome to come by in the morning and serve us the scrambled eggs and coffee in bed though. That'd be real nice of you.

The biggest thing to remember though, is if you are packing in their conference rooms, Make sure it's spotless afterwards. And try not to make too much noise.

It's great that they let us use the room and I'd hate to see that priveledge taken away.

Exclamation Re: Memorial Weekend - Hotels

I have stayed there before and I would like to ensure to stress that fact:

...if you are packing in their conference rooms, Make sure it's spotless afterwards.

I should not have to say this, but if one BASE Jumper is disrespectful and makes a mess, the stereotype is that ALL BASE JUMPERS ARE DISRESPECTFUL !!!!!!

That is exactly what happened. While I was staying there I went to pack a rig in the conference room. I was told to be quiet. It was just me and I wasn't talking to myself so I'm guessing others might have been loud in the past.

Yes, it happens all too often. Please be aware that they love base jumpers right now, but that can always change.

Make that the whole month of May. I just booked a room for this weekend and they said they are doing 69.95 for BASE jumpers all month.

Not to take away anything Shilo Inn is doing, but personally have used Cheap Flights, Hotels, and Rental Cars -- Discount Airfare | Priceline.com (try (Priceline.com - hotel, hotel reservation, cheap hotel, las vegas hotel, boston hotel, hotel deal, new york city hotel, hotel rooms, motel, lodging, accommodations, casino hotel, priceline) ) and you can name your own price.

Here is how it can work. For a 3.5 star hotel, bid for a room at $40 to see if you get anything. The hotel costs are from $65 to $95 regular rates. I do not even see Shilo Inn on price line. But, if you fail to get a 3.5 star hotel for $40, you can always rebid at a higher amount if you like.

I got a Hilton Hotel in Philli last minute for the Metallica Concert for $50. I also stayed at the Hyatt Pittsburgh for $65. These where both $200+ rooms that I underbid to get a great deal.
