    BASE Mr. Bill

Same situation. Looking to gather info about BASE Mr. Bill jumps. Can you do one from PCA. What about a direct bag? Is unpacked better due to ability to hang onto the back of the harness. Which is easier to get timing of the exit right: Tard, Tard-over, Rollover? Anyone who have experience on these very stupid jumps please let me know what tidbits you came up with...

(If you see the previous thread, and this one, you can see that the Mr. Bill-over away is the next logical step. Anyone who has done a Mr. Bill cutaway jump must respond too.)

    Whohoo!

Spence and chuma did this with spence's paraglider from the bridge. Tarded the PG with chuma on spence's back. Chuma then dropped off and opened, then spence cut the paraglider away pitched out his base rig.

Paul and Jamie did this with BASE rigs and a second canopy in a dbag for paul last year but neither really goes online to the forum.

I have a splat-away modification i've done for a couple people to be able to to this with any Perigee/II/Pro rig. I haven't done any other type of rig but you need to have chest mount harness loops in your system as the Perigee's do. I add D-rings to the chest, build shorty type-17 3-ring risers for your PG or Speedwing to caribeaner to. Hard housings are added and a big grab cutaway handle is mounted on your left side. If you're in socal I recommend contacting Corky and First Impact Rigging for a system. Otherwise, initial pricing is $250 plus shipping your container to and from Splatula in Twin Falls.

    Spence should chime in soon.

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl

Is this threaded rings thru the harness loops, or does this require harness work? (ie. is permanent) I saw those jumps and was checking that system out at your crib, I just forgot how you did it...

I have screw-in D-Rings, so it does not require any harness work to be done!
