Bridge Day is a good place to have some fun, get a little crazy, and try some new stuff. It seems like a lot of people either step it up a little at bridge day, or show off their latest tricks/skills. So what do you have planned for your jumps at BD this year? I'm going to hang upside down by my feet off the diving board for one.

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl

I wonder if I can talk Jason into letting me try a 7-second delay Mary Poppins?

Here is what I know of BD:

"If you have to ask, the answer is NO!!!!!".

now, if you just don't ask, then nobody can say no can they...? Just don't go in buddy! I think that is the only hard-and fast rule!

7 second delay? You probably have a 50/50 shot at living.
What am I going to do at BD? Well, I usually find some time around 1pm to jump - in between the lack of sleep, hunger, dehydration, and stress. I might do a Nestea plunge for the new overhead camera shot.

PS. It's good to be back here....at a real BASE forum.

It is great to have everyone back!!!!!

pss, I thought the best jumping ever was compounded with lack of sleep, dehydration and total chaos....

I have a question about a delayed Mary Poppins:

I have seen a 2 second MP, but I wonder if a 4-6 second MP would actually slow your fall rate enough and allow for a longer delay?

Not sure exactly what a "Mary Poppins" is, but I'm guessing it's where you hold an unpacked canopy for a few seconds above your head? If so, keep in mind there are no unpacked jumps at BD (imagine the wait time for people adjusting their hanging canopies, including the large depth of steel below you).

Maybe I'm just a little old-school, but all these new-fangled unpacked jump variations and their unique names might require Mick to put up a jump dictionary (if he already hasn't)
