Default deep or shallow brakes for SL/PCA

A few weeks ago I jumped a 170' quarry using SL with my deep brake setting and felt that on opening I was swung backwards under the canopy and came super close to wall, I wasn't sure if I was just scared from the jump or I was actually as close as I seemed. Fortunately we were able to set up a tripod and video from the side and review the jumps. I was definitely super close to the wall when I swung back under the canopy at opening. I was noticeably closer than my buddy. I jump a 293 flik vtec and he jumps a 280 flik vtec, I weigh about 195 and he is about 180. I launched out pretty hard on exit, but It did not seem excessive or much more than my friend. I typically do not do many static line or PCA jumps and would like to know if others have experienced this or what brake setting seems to work better for SL/PCA. As soon as the winds are light, I plan to repeat with my shallow setting and see how that goes... Any input or thoughts appreciated.

The file is to big to upload on here (400MB) My friend did the vidoe and I am not so tech savy to make the file smaller or put on youtube.

The answer is in your writing:

Who's the fag who told you to launch hard with PC and S/L?

Or did you read it over the I?

Only less than 30 deaths this year?

Com'on fags, we can make it over 30, there are 21 days left! Hurry up!

Die motherfuckers die!

The canopy surges because of the forward momentum. Now, if you're using a PCA or S/L it means you're low as fuck or you suck on midgets' cocks. Either case might be, surging to the ground is not the best way of landing, I'd rather land a riser over!

PUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS IIIIIIIIIII EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Dear Nick Nitro: Thanks for the great input, I now feel much more warm and fuzzy with all the midget cock sucking and fag comments.

Nick's a wop asshat, but if you filter out the drug-induced banter, he's right.

If you launched hard...that'll do it.

Deep breaks is correctomundo IMHO...but you need to pretty much just drop straight down (I do)...It minimizes the surge. And if for some ungodly reason you have a 180, you'll just slide down the object, bouncing all the way while you try to riser out instead of slamming it on the way back from an aggressive launch.

I thought drugs are supposed to make you "normal", hence the whole Psychiatry as the ultimate invented science!

Is Herenza in the house yet?
