Ha! I know who that is. I just talked to him the other day, I'll have to ask him about that.

I love how that cop tries to lie about all the dead base jumpers he's seen!

Thanks for the entertainment and representing us so well.
Also very sharp in your way of pointing out that the guy
was lying about watching both Jan & Shannon's deaths.

To: The Cool Cops who understand we should be dealt
with according to our demeanor at the stop, bravo.

To: The Pigs, power hungry douche bags and crooked
shit are the two biggest reasons some people have
lost so much respect for a very necessary occupation.

FYI - I have several friends in law enforcement and have
done a couple ride alongs. Most LEO are decent people.

i also thought that it was pretty cool that the one particular cop agreed about the NPS shit we face and said it should be legalized and profited upon.

they legalized, taxed , and regulated certain subtances in amsterdam and it works out great over there.........

fortunately i doubt those opinions reflect even a small percentage of police officers mindsets... It seems to me only the cops who want everyone to know how badass they are would even sign up for a site like that. I work with cops on a daily basis... most of them say they'd arrest me if I didn't repack and do it again with them watching this time ;-)

It sounds like when the dude said "bouncers" he was talking about seeing skydivers go in, not base jumpers. Gotta remember they mix the two up, they're not us. Maybe I'm wrong but I think you owe him an apology. The rest of the conversation I think you did a good job of presenting yourself and 'us' as normal human beings and maybe a few LEO's will be a little cooler on the next bust of a jumper.

But here in Twin we have zero problem with cops! Both Sheriffs from the two counties out here have made skydives, one of them owns a rig and flies for me! Officers at the bridge have been known to help you out with a PCA even!

I would take it seriously; but it's serious and ridiculous at the same time. -sl
