Political affiliations aside...

"This week, Obama asked top contributors to help Clinton retire her campaign debt of $22 million, about $12 million of which she loaned to her own campaign."

Want to be President bad enough? Fucking man-up and pay your own way or show that you have the ability to run a campaign without going into debt in the process. Begging for private contributions to restore your wealth? I love this country, but we're fucked beyond fucked when the very people vying for our highest elected office FUCK UP TRYING TO GET THERE in EXACTLY the way we don't want them to FUCK UP if they get elected!

I'd love to know what the total amount of campaign financing spent on this election turns out to be and how it measures up against domestic investments in say...energy, education...

Both Hillary Clinton And Barack Obama are Socialists. Their ENTIRE platform is based on spending other people's money.

The entire campaign finance platform is based on spending other people's money.

There. Fixed it for you. (Although I agree w/ your previous statement, the other party is similarly fucked.)

One must ask why a person would spend USD$12M for a job that pay US$1.6M over a 4 year period.

How can someone who pretends to be an advocate for the less fortunate ask those same people to pay them back $12M so they can maintain their elitist lifestyle.

This is why people go on kill crazy rampages.

What I meant is that they think they know how to spend your money better than you do. Now that Ron Paul is out of the running, I need to change my party affiliation out of the Republican party.

<--- Libertarian

Not even voting unless Dr. Ron is on the general election ballot. McCain might offer me more job security because of the nature of my work, but they both suck. I hate not having a good choice.

President Ron Paul, MD, would be the best thing to happen to the USA this century. Unfortunately his campaign is over, but at least he will remain in Congress. I am looking forward to hearing whom, if anyone, he will endorse for president.
