"It is one thing to be in the proximity of death, to know more or less what she is, and it is quite another thing to slip her some tongue."
Hi Nick. I have a few from the old days, 1982 and beyond.
In 85, doing a tower for a TV show, they asked me about my first BASE jump, a building, Commerce Tower in Houston, 1000' and I said,
"It was the most enjoyable frightening expereience I've ever had, in my entire life".
After I broke my legs in a Houston building jump with Smitty,in 1983, he used to tell me. " I like jumping with you, I don't have to outrun the cops, I just have to outrun you." Smitty always was a cold SOB. Not really, he was my best friend in those days.
Joy wants to know who the first to say, "CYA" on exit. My brother Randy said it at New River 82 just before he did a gainer), but not sure who really coined the phrase.
