BASE Magazine and other BASE magazines

I'm thinking of scanning in Carl Boenish's
BASE magazine and making them available on the
web. Also considering doing the same with Phil
Smith's BASEline magazine and BASE Gazette.

Any interest out there? (consider too that
these files will be large and may take a long
    time to download)

I'm definitely interested. I'd download them for sure (I've got a T3 line onto my desk, so size isn't an issue for me).

I AM INTERESTED IN ANY MATERIAL TO READ AND GAIN KNOWLEDGE. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT NICK DiGIOVANI'S(SP)FIXED OBJECT JOURNAL. IT'S BEEN A FEW YEARS SINCE HE PUBLISHED ONE, BUT HE ALWAYS HAD INFORMATIVE AND ENTERTAINING ARTICLES. THE ONES NICK WROTE HIMSELF (ALOT) WERE WELL WRITTEN, FUNNY AND EDUCATIONAL. I HAD QUITE A FEW COPIES BUT HAVE LOST THEM OVER THE YEARS LOANING THEM OUT TO NEW JUMPERS FOR TEXT.

That is a great idea - if the publisher accepts.

    It's Already in the Works . . .

The folks who published those four magazines (Jean, Phil, Andy and me ) are in the process of doing just that. And it will be free!

I have a trial site up and running using Adobe Acrobat so that the magazines can be printed in PDF format.

We have a few bugs to flush out, but are excited about making this information available again.

A quote from the web site:

    The BASE Publication Vault
"A Depository of BASE Jumping Magazines"

The following is a collection of "out of print" BASE Jumping publications that appeared between 1979 and the early 1990s. They are being electronically re-published here for their historical, educational and entertainment value.

These publications, once downloaded, should be
printed rather than read on your monitor. We have tried to reproduced these magazines in their original format. If you follow the downloading and printing instructions it will be almost like having the original magazines in your hands. Enjoy!
