    Paragliding, powered and unpowered

I'm not yet a paraglider, so please forgive me if any of these statements are incorrect. I want to learn how to paraglide, eventually to do powered, unpowered, and tandem. I see that, here in the US, there are separate learning tracks for powered and unpowered paragliding. And that the FAA issues licenses to powered paraglider pilots. I don't want to spend the money to start from the bottom through both tracks if I don't have to. What is a good way to safely accomplish my goals? Thanks.

Paragliding basics. It is important that you stay focused and listen carefully to the directions provided by the instructor. Beginners can easily learn how to paraglide after just a few days or hours. Paragliding can be great fun and you can choose to go tandem during your first few trips. A tandem introductory flight is the best way to go for most beginners.
