Description:

On Saturday 15th October 2011 a 25 year-old Swiss with two colleagues went to the Jungfrau summit and intended to fly in the direction of Stechelberg. With good wind conditions and a very icy launch site they were all wearing crampons. His two colleagues took off first, he followed but cancelled his take off and stopped running. It is then thought he may have slipped on the ice, loosing grip from the crampons and slid over a 20m ice cliff which resulted in severe and fatal head injuries. He was a qualified Paraglider, Skydiver and BASE jumper.
