Span
This page is a chapter in 'BASE Wiki About BASE Jumping'
Span (S) is the 3rd object in the B.A.S.E. Acronym.
Please note each of the 4 main object types have their
own special considerations and optimal wind conditions.
A Span object is basically any kind of bridge. The two
most common types jumped are suspension and arch.
Spans are often a BASE jumpers first object because a
good bridge offers nothing to hit at deployment time and
often has water underneath it for emergency landings.
Wind conditions will depend on the height of the bridge,
intended delay, and available landing areas.
