Description:

Yuan Hong Li [48] died on Sunday, following a speed riding accident on the Aiguille du Midi. He took off from the ridge above the Frendo spur and flew.... It was his friends who had alerted the PGHM Chamonix, late Sunday afternoon, anxious not to see him return.

PGHM conducted a reconnaissance flight to find the speed rider. His body lifeless at the foot of the north face of the Aiguille du Midi. "He probably made a wrong manoeuvre halfway down and struck the face" said a rescuer of PGHM.
